I mean the hotkeys, options, multiplayer interface, etc. Comment by johnnyd2 on T18:54:56-06:00Ĭan someone tell me how to get this installer working? i have WC3 and TFT on my account, but it wont show up on the app. Im having an issue with this game where some of the UI elements - namely ones they added in the remaster - take an annoyingly long time to load. When are we getting Warcraft II again? I don't care for III, but would play II in a heartbeat. So basically the WC3 mod that's being developed for SC2 is a moot point, as we're getting a WC3:RM? Comment by angelzhizni on T17:55:39-06:00 Shouldn't take that long to do a Warcraft III: Remastered. It took the Classic Games team one-year to develop StarCraft: Remastered.īut that is a game of sprites, and a lot of work compared to 3D skins and new UI for Warcraft III. Blizzard Watch also did today.Įven if it has been this way for months - that only shows that Blizzard has been working on the installer in advance to the Warcraft III: Remastered launch. WoWHead is not the only one stating the change. Well, I am not completely sure the installer was this way a few months ago. Comment by Medievaldragon on T15:57:39-06:00 Lol don't be such a drama queen ya queen Comment by Fenril7 on T15:43:51-06:00Īwesome, I never experience WF 1-3, hope they made it for today's computers. Man, Wowhead has really fallen from grace recently. When updating it from an old version, it will migrate the game user data to your documents folder, which is in line to modern Blizzard games. Ever since its update to patch 1.28 last year, Warcraft III supports the 1440x1080 resolution and now runs normally on Windows 10. If you have both, it allows you to swap between the games with a button on the main game menu. It now installs both games, unlocking access to them based on the serial keys you enter. The installation of the game also has changed. Id personally never go back to play the original Starcraft or Brood War. Some years later i found out about Mass Recall and played it. The update before was triggered by connecting to the servers inside the game. I played the original Starcraft at some time after it originally came out, but then never heard of Brood War (since esports werent really a thing yet outside of Korea). With Patch 3.7 of Legacy of the Void, skins are now available for purchase through the StarCraft II client. Initially only available with collectors editions, skins have gradually been added through other means. Note that this interface was previously used only to update the game and not to install it. Skins are unlockable models available for units and structures in StarCraft II and StarCraft: Remastered. Are we talking about Sc2 here If so, where should it be located in the console UI I equipped the Remastered one in Sc2 but cant find the APM counter. They look kind of janky, but thats the sc1 aesthetic, i guess. I imagine the carrier, ultralisk and battlecruiser is going to be the same, but for the later sections of the warchests. Not part of the warchest completely, but the zealot, marine and hydralisk are going to be free for everyone to get. Although not yet shown in Blizzard Launcher, that might indicate that it now has the required tech for such, similarly to Classic Starcraft. New SC1 inspired 'Remastered' Skins for sc2.

Im not sure whether Remastered is overrun with smurfs or whether there are. Its pretty frustrating getting stomped everygame. Sometimes even getting matched up with b rank players. Getting matched up with smurfs with 300 apm. WC2 also has lore that has been mostly/entirely retconned, I wonder if they would fix that. After last week's rumors about some Warcraft RTS content planned for the future, Reddit user r_ez has noticed that Warcraft III received an updated installer recently, similar to those used by last generation Blizzard games. I keep getting matched up with way better players.

I'm not sure they would do WC2 over WC3 since Brood War is more similar to WC2 and WC3 has the heroes stuff which some adore and some don't like. Although you may run into the weird situation of a WC3 remaster re-introducing Dota 1 and becoming a competitor. I just hope they keep custom games alive and don't kneecap it like with SC2 or fail to support it like Dota 2. I know there is still a desire to play Brood War, and would imagine there is still a desire for Diablo II and Warcraft III especially with the RTS genre barely hanging on. Diablo II and WC3 will come next year and the year after I would bet, as a move to work legacy content into the launcher and ecosystem. I remember at least 4 years ago those job listings were created, and after that multiple job listings describing legacy content.Įverybody knew, it just took a while for SC Remastered to be announced. But I’d still recommend it as long as you don’t mind the old controls and pathing. Starcraft II’s story gets you up to speed without requiring you to have played the original. If you like what you see you can upgrade the first game to Remastered and get the other SC2 campaigns. They've been a poorly kept secret for years. The first campaign of Starcraft II is also free.
